Cimmaron Sled Dogs

We are a small racing kennel based in Ayrshire, Scotland.  We currently have 14 dogs; 3 Siberian Huskies, 3 Cumbrian Trailhounds and 8 Scandinavian Hounds.

Keith is a lecturer at the local college and has been racing for 13 years.  During this time, he has won many races in the UK and, in the last few years, has been lucky enough to race in Europe on snow and at dryland events.  2004/05 saw Keith win snow races in France, including the French Championship, and the IFSS Dryland World Championship in Poland.  He held onto his Dryland title in 2005/06 by winning the 4-dog class in Belgium and then again in 2006/07 in Germany.  All these with our 4 original Scandinavian Hounds.

Keith also ran our team of Siberian Huskies.  However, after 8 successful competitive seasons, they are being retired from racing, but will still get out for training runs and hopefully they will take turns making up position 4 in Mandie's trailhound team.

I (Mandie) work in the public sector.  I run our team of Cumbrian Trailhounds.  They are good, fun dogs to compete with and I've even managed to win a few races!  My favourite time was competiting at the IFSS Dryland WCh's in Germany 2006, when I came 7th in the 4-dog class with my team of 3 trailhounds and one husky (Orly).  I was so proud of them.
